Many of us snapped up a pack of the great value La Tortilleria Corn Tortillas this week.

They’re fermented, preservative-free, naturally gluten-free, and made using authentic nixtamalisation methods that support digestion and nutrient absorption.

For a better for you snack, I love turning them into tortilla chips: simply cut into wedges, brush lightly with oil, sprinkle with salt, and bake until golden and crunchy. So good!

Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and the incredible women who make up our Box Divvy community.

Our Hubsters, mostly women but we have wonderful men taking up the call for change too, are more than organisers of good food. They are community builders, change makers, and champions of Australian farmers.

Many of you are women who have stepped up to create food communities right in your neighbourhoods, bringing people together around fresh, affordable produce.

You’re making real change every single week by:

Looking for an easy, budget friendly way to add more fish to your meals?

The fresh fish mince from Pyrmont Seafood is super versatile and great value. Each 400g pack of white fish mince mainly latchet or gurnard has the right oil balance.

It's ideal for making Thai Fish Cakes, Fish Balls and great or Fish Burgers.

Here I used a pack of the fish mince to make a batch of delicious Fish Patties.

How I made mine:
Finely mince some celery and onion, then sauté in olive oil with salt and pepper until softened. Let it cool, then mix through the fish mince along with panko breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, capers, fresh herbs and a little lemon zest. Shape into small patties, dust in flour, dip in egg, then coat in panko breadcrumbs. Pan fry until golden and crisp on both sides. Serve with a big dollop of Beerenberg Tartare Sauce.

Recycling soft plastics just got a whole lot easier.

You can now drop your soft plastics off at your local Box Divvy hub. No extra trips, no extra cost, just bring them along when you collect your order!

Our Hub members are clearly embracing the added bonus of being able to recycle soft plastics through the Hub!

Every Box Divvy Hub has a dedicated purple soft plastics bin, and here at Blue Gum it’s getting a solid workout, filling up most weeks.
