☔️URGENT FOSTER CARE REQUIRED PERTH.☔️

Gorgeous Storm ⛈️ has heartbreakingly been through 6 different homes in the last month (through zero fault of her own) and desperately requires a foster family she can decompress with. 🩷

She was shifted from home to home, as people (with good intentions) took her in, thinking they could help her stay out of the pound system, but due to their own health and disabilities Storm was moved on.

A friendly girl, Storm will require someone home part time or full time, without other pets (social male bully breed may be okay if ability to separate), and she should be fine with school aged kids.

She is an approximately 1 year old medium sized staffy x am
staff, who is desexed and quite calm for her age. She walks well on lead, is good in the car and is partly house trained. She can get along with other dogs, but prefers to be the only dog in the home at this point.

Storm is well behaved youngster, but needs someone who can commit to long term foster and understands the needs of rescue dogs eg they are going to have accidents to start with and need time put into furthering their training.

Eddie was sadly returned to us 💔 and is again looking for a forever home. 🏠

He has settled back in with his dedicated foster family with ease and is out enjoying local walks with some of our lovely vollies.

If you would like to meet Eddie then we would love to hear from you. This handsome goofy boy is very well trained around the home and on lead. He just needs the right person who will continue the love he is receiving. 🤍🩵💙

Tequila 🌼 has been in care for an entire year. All of her babies and her friend Bronx, have been adopted. We were hoping she would have found her own furry tail ending by now. 💗💜🩵

A happy go lucky friendly bull mastiff mix, Tequila makes an absolutely gorgeous family dog. She is great with kids though forgets her size sometimes, so best with confident children over age of 6 who are use to larger boofas. Of course Tequila is just as happy living with a single person or couple who are looking for a cuddly best friend to come home to.

Tequila prefers to be the only dog at home, but could be slowly introduced to a male doggy friend with an experienced family. She is currently on foster care with a cat, but we feel she is best in a home without smaller animals.

From a yard dog to house dog, Tequila has learned great manners in the home and is fine to be left alone with full time workers. She loves her car rides now and enjoy walks every second day, but still requires some work on lead. At home she enjoys a play, is eager to please and is very good motivated so easy to train.

Tequila doesn’t need a huge yard though prefers to have access inside via a doggy door. She is an exceptional girl who has come along way in her confidence thanks to her foster mum. A very friendly girl who is great with both men and women, Tequila loves snuggling up on a lap of visitors.

Little update on our two seniors 👵🏻👴🏻 Paddy and Jay Jay. 🐶

Paddy had two big surgeries to remove her mammary masses, and a number of teeth. She also had a more complicated spey surgery after a previous caesarean. Why Paddy wasn’t sterilised then is anyone’s guess - money clearly matters more than welfare to greeders. Unfortunately her mammary mass was a low grade carcinoma and while they have a low rate of metastasising they can reoccur locally. X-rays taken of her lungs as a precaution were thankfully clear of masses. The good news Paddy did avoid a third surgery for her mild entropian in her eyes after a visit with Dr Ziggy who has a special interest in the area. Paddy has recovered so well, but the best news is she is a foster fail and is staying with her lovely forever family who adore her. 🩷💜

Jay Jay was our other senior - turns out he is actually 7 years old not 4 as we were first informed. Mind you he had us all fooled given his teeth and physique, except for the little black lumps and pigmentation on his belly. Jay Jay also went through some extra tests as it turns out he has a Grade 3 heart murmur. Dr Jarrad who has a special interest in ultrasound performed the ultrasound of Jay Jay’s heart and abdomen. This showed his heart was not enlarged and as he is not symptomatic yet, he does not yet require medication (though will likely do in future). His abdomen and X-rays of lungs were thankfully clear. Jay Jay was given the okay to have surgery to be neutered and remove the masses, which came back as benign neoplasias caused by too much sun exposure. His ears needed some dork but have improved drastically and his cost is looking amazing. Thanks to all the TLC he has received from his dedicated foster family Jay Jay recovered from surgery with ease and is now ready to find himself a forever family. 💙💚

Short or long term accomodation sought.🏘️

This is Lola. Her young mum and herself are homeless. All the refuges are full.

They have been living on the streets for some time and want to get off it as they are scared. They are hoping to find a quiet granny flat to rent south of the river in Perth to get out of the rain.

Lola is a senior girl of 10 years old and she is desexed. She gets along with other animals. She is very well behaved and friendly with people.

They are a quiet gentle pair who keep to themselves and are grateful for any assistance. They are also needing a swag if anyone has one to spare to keep them off thr ground.

Sharing rescue dogs in urgent need and offering to foster does save lives 🍀 …it also finds them forever homes! 🏠💛

Eddie has been happily settling into care with his wonderful carers who have been spoiling him. We are also happy to report he has found himself the perfect forever family!

His new family fell in love with amazing pawsonality and good manners! Eddie is off to his new home this weekend. 🎉

Eddie is an exceptional boy, who is a sensitive soul and has been incredibly easy to train from the day we saved him from the pound.

Like all dogs, he deserves only understanding, patience kindness and love. Boundaries and training doesn’t need to include physical discomfort or pain and it saddened us that a shock collar was used on him after he was previously adopted. It’s not the dogs that are the problem, it’s human unrealistic expectations of them.

Rescue dogs especially need time and reasonable goals set for them.

Happy National Rescue Dog Day from Jay Jay, our friends at Yangebup-Beeliar Vet Clinic and ourselves. 🎉

The team have been taking great care of Jay Jay who ended up requiring a bit of extra vet work. ❤️‍🩹

Mandatory extra kisses, cuddles and treats from his foster family has been helping Jay Jay’s recovery. 🥰

❤️❤️Update: Eddie now has foster care. Thank you hugely to one of our lovely long term vollies for stepping up to help. Thank you to everyone who shared and supported us.

We wish to point out that it is unacceptable for adopters to attempt to dump dogs back at the same pound they came from or make inferences on the dog’s life. Nothing prevents adopters from doing the right thing and being respectful of volunteers running rescues who are trying to help them. When fostering a dog for months prior to adopting you know very well what their temp is and if you choose to get pregnant straight away after adoption, there is no excuse to then wait until after the baby is born to decide to give up the dog if you wont cope. We have a society full of owners who lack accountability where dogs are put at risk and this is why rescues will always exist. 💔

Eddie’s adopters have decided they want him gone. 💼

This is such an awful situation for Eddie who has done nothing wrong and is being returned because the foster carers who adopted him 18 months ago had a baby. The worst part is he had a great home to go to at the time, who were super keen to adopt, and his foster carers decided they wanted to keep him.

We have tried our best to find a carer or forever home but nothing has come up. They won’t give us any more time or they will look at “other options”. So Eddie needs an urgent carer or adoptive home this week so he is safe.

Eddie is 4yo, very well behaved, is amazing on the lead, travels well and wonderfully house trained. He is a friendly boy though requires a home with kids over 8 as he can get excited around little ones (he is gentle with the baby but we dont want him to end up in the same situation again). Eddie is not assessed living in the home with another dog, but is friendly meeting most dogs on lead. He doesn’t need a huge yard, however grassed area to play on and access to inside is necessary.

Orlando from Results Dog Training kindly donated one of his new harnesses for Lyla. 💜

Lyla has been working on her anxiety around strangers and in the home with her foster dad. The harness is helping Lyla, as there is less pressure around vulnerable areas such as her neck.

With the assistance of positive reinforcement and a behavior modification plan, Lylas foster family say her anxiety is finally starting to improve.

Jay Jay was in his way to the vets today to be put to sleep when we got the call from the rangers to inform us of his fate! 💔💔

We managed to save him at the last minute. The vets wouldn’t hold him for the day or a few hours. We decided try one last time and make a call. It was just pure luck that the stars aligned in his favour. It was Ellie’s day off, she was available to temp foster and able to rush to pick him up. Thank you Ellie! 💖

We are so glad he is getting a second chance, but he can’t stay where he is now as he is NOT good with the cats and now needs to find an urgent foster or foster to adopt by the weekend.

Jay Jay is however appears to be good with dogs and really adores humans. Despite the different changes he has been through, he is a little super star. Good in the car, great being bathed, takes treats nicely while sitting, listens well and is overall very well behaved. He is also polite with school aged kids.

He is only a little guy just under 23kgs and a staffy mix around 4-5 years old.

Jay Jay is very laid back so could easily slot into most home, but will be best with someone home to begin with. He seems to take everything in his stride and is overall a calmer, happy, friendly guy. We would say he is quite the adaptable fellow, he just needs a loving home.

Jay will need to be desexed still, but could possibly go with a sterilised female dog.

Still urgent. 🚨

Poor Eddie has not had anyone offer him a foster home and he is such a well behaved lad, who walks beautifully on lead. At home Eddie is a playful loving boy and a complete snuggle with his family members.
