Oh dear - footy (AFL) season is back…

Mum is jumping up off the couch, arms flailing, clapping, screaming and cheering at the TV - yep, Carlton are playing footy!

I’m just trying to sleep and all her antics are stopping me from getting some ‘shut eye’.

It’s a tough life being a Cavvie with a human parent that loves footy - it’s borderline abuse having to stay awake after 9pm! 🤎🐶🤎

I’m being a good boy helping Mum pack the moving boxes! It’s tough, tiring work being the site supervisor!

Mum and I are moving house next week, which means I am ‘helping’ Mum pack all our things in paper and put them in boxes…

Mum says I am a very good ‘helper’ because I chill out on the couch next to her, watching The Godfather movies, whilst she does all the work!

Keeping Mum company is my gift to her - she loves me so much and she says all she needs is my company, so that is what I give her.

I also give her loads of smooches - she is my favourite human and my soulmate. We both love each other unconditionally!

Enjoy yourselves and admire this photo of me from during the week at Bendigo Doggy Daycare, where my concentration levels are fully engaged because there is a treat on offer!!

I get treats at daycare, unlike at home, where Mum (aka the ‘fun police’) is always keeping a careful watch on my waistline… Boo hoo Mum!

Mum took my to the park to play fetch and we also went to Bunnings!

She also kept singing me the ‘happy birthday’ song, which wasn’t so great, because Mum’s singing really sounds like a drowning cat, but I let her do it because it makes her happy…

Mum is pretty excited because footy is almost back and she’s watching a practice match on TV…

Mum and I are both members of the best footy club in the land - the Carlton Football Club! 💙

Im having a snooze on the tiles where it’s cool, because Mum and I played fetch with my ball for half an hour and now I’m pooped! We also went to Bunnings this morning with Grandma Barbara and her dog Sammi - so much fun!

It’s half time at the footy and they’re showing part of a game from last year where Mum’s fave player, Jacob Weitering, is wearing a mic and you can hear everything! She’s loving it!

I hope you’re all having a fun weekend like we are friends!

I’m super pumped to see the Carlton Football Club boys train up here in Bendigo on Tuesday night!

Mum said we can go to watch them and hopefully I will get a photo with my favourite player, Charlie “King Charles” Curnow!

He sent a birthday video to Mum’s Grandma (my Great Grandma) for her 100th birthday and Mum says he’s a real true blue champion!
