Lots of different coat types and conditions this week!
Please note we will not clip your pelted cat more than once as the stress for your cat to be removed if very high risk of cutting and stress related conditions. You will be sent to a vet next time you contact us over the 3 month prevention recommendation. Holding cats for uncomfortable shaving tight matting and allowing repeated neglect is not apart of our job. See photo I am talking about.

Trainee Professional Cat Groomer

We’re seeking a Trainee Cat Groomer to join our team. The right candidate will be passionate about cats, attentive to detail, and eager to learn and grow in the grooming industry.

This role begins soon to train to cover a cat groomers medical leave in January/February, with an exciting opportunity to continue your journey afterwards — either stepping into your own grooming career or staying on with us in the salon if it’s the right fit.

Full training provided
Casual position. Beeliar, WA location.


Responsibilities
-Clip cats' coat to a high standard.
-Assist the lead groomer with cat grooming tasks, including bathing, brushing, and drying. -Online and in person training for the role.
-Bath, blow-dry and de-shed cats according to coat type.
-Maintain a clean and organised grooming area.
-Handle cats with care and patience, ensuring their comfort and safety is always top priority.
-Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their cat's grooming needs, maintenance requirements and preferences.
-Help with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, taking payments and maintaining records.
-Respect our home salon environment at all times.


Experience
-Previous experience working with cats or in a grooming environment is a plus.
-Experience with the use of clippers and blades is an advantage.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-A positive relationship with all cats is important for this role.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
-Attention to detail and a passion for ensuring the well-being of animals.
-Willingness to learn and adapt to new grooming techniques and practices.
