New wheels for Curtis π
This beautiful boy, Curtis, has IMHA (Immune Mediated Haemolytic Anemia) and recently developed a sore leg. To make things a bit better for this trooper, his owner has created a pretty nifty buggy for him to get around. Curtis is one of our patients at PETstock VET Midland, and we're so glad to help take care of this wonderful dog.
Do you know what IMHA is? It's a disease where the body's immune system destroys its own red blood cells. This often leads to severe anemia and poor oxygen delivery to multiple organs, such as the kidneys, liver and brain. Treatment of this disease can be different depending on the patient, but in some cases, patients will require blood transfusions to replace red blood cells, combined with immunosuppressive therapy. You also have to limit exercise for these patients, which is why having a buggy will really help Curtis. Wishing all the best to our mate β₯οΈ
