We are so lucky to have such amazing wildlife in FNQ 🐍🥰

Here is a beautiful Red-Bellied Black Snake (Pseudechis porphyriacus) I came across recently.

These snakes are often found around waterways and damp areas, where they hunt one of their favourite meals… frogs 🐸 While they are venomous, Red-Bellied Blacks are generally shy and prefer to avoid human interaction.
If you spot one in your backyard, the best thing to do is to give it space and let it move on naturally. If you need the snake relocated for safety concerns, then feel free to get in touch!

The Brown Tree Snakes are on the move at the moment, seeking shelter in houses as it starts getting cooler! We’ve been getting so many call outs for this species lately. This is one of the largest and darkest Brown Tree Snakes (Boiga irregularis) we’ve relocated this season 😍🐍

A monster of a scrub python we relocated a few days ago! What a beauty! This one had to be around the 4m mark.
Unfortunately this big guy got into a family’s chicken coop and so the family needed it relocated.

The Bandy-bandy (Vermicella annulata) is a weakly venomous species of snake, reaching a maximum of 60cm. There are 5 different species in Australia, which are found in all sorts of environments from deserts through to rainforests. They feed almost exclusively on blind snakes and are considered harmless to humans due to the size of their mouth and their inoffensive nature.
We love getting all sorts of snake call outs to relocate; so if you come across a snake at your place you’d like moved on, please feel free to give us a call!

Last night we had a call out to relocate a beautiful Australian Scrub Python, also known as the Amethystine Python (Simalia kinghorni). This individual was relatively small, roughly 2.5m in length; however they can reach lengths of over 5m and are Australia’s largest snake species!
These guys are non-venomous, and are handy to have around to help keep the rodent population down. As there were small pets at the property though, the owners wanted this snake to be safely relocated to another area.
