Pip

This adorable little golden marshmallow is Pippy.
She came to us from a wonderful family who had taken her from a very poor situation and gave her a new and wonderful lease on life, she was loved by their grandchildren for many years teaching them all the best parts of horse riding until they unfortunately grew too tall for Pips little legs. Her family felt that Pip deserved to pass on that gift to other tiny humans and be loved and doted on once again so offered her to us for my then 2 year old daughter. She now spends her days, taking care of my two little girls, breaking into places she shouldn’t in search of food and meeting new people to help put a smile on their face.

Pippy is a cheeky little muppet at times and makes sure the adults know who is boss (her of course) but is so gentle and careful with all the right people.

She adores food and gets very impatient, pawing the ground if you take too long to give her the buckets to clean.

Probably her most funny quirk is that anything at the right height is a scratching post if you ask Pip, be it a hay bale, gate, stick, tree, mounting block, Jump wing, person. She isn’t fussy 💁🏼‍♀️🥰

Pippy is a very important part of our program, she brings a cheerful and kind energy and will stand around for hours to be brushed and pampered by all, again sharing her “natural gift” with the rest of the world.

Elsa ☃
This is Elsa, a 3yo registered Australian Miniature Goat, from a long line of top notch "show goats" Elsa however prefers the quite life and identifies as a "house goat." Elsa was a twin, her brother Kristoff was born first and their mum needed some help to birth Elsa, we had an emergency vet visit where we tried for a very long time to get her out. We didn't expect her to be alive when she finally came out but she surprised us all, she did however have very weak legs and couldn't stand up so she became a bottle baby and of course lived inside for the first few weeks of her life. Within a week she was able to stand for short periods of time and gradually got stronger and stronger. As a result Elsa believes (rightfully so) she is just part of the furniture. She is always one of the first to greet you, or anyone for that matter and has been on many adventures including to kinder for "show and tell"

We thought it was about time we should introduce some of our team that help make it all happen here at Tails For Connection, so stay tuned over the coming weeks.

Murphy!
Well how could we start anywhere else. Murphy is our parents 6yo Border Collie, he was born and bred to be a working dog coming from a really incredible line of sheepdogs. Murphy forgot to read that manual however and prefers to steer clear of those fuzzy marshmallows on legs.
Give him a tennis ball and someone to throw it to him or a soccer ball and he is as happy as can be. When he isn't playing ball you will find him having a snooze on the bed or going on adventures with our parents in the car.

Murphy has been an integral part of what we do from the very beginning. His biggest super power is bringing people out of their shell by just being a calm and kind presence. He also enjoys showing off his clever tricks and convincing people to share snacks with him.

At home he has our parents very well trained. Every morning he wakes up and enjoys his piece of vegemite toast (must have butter too) that is cut into triangles and handed to him bit by bit. I think someone forgot to tell him that he is indeed a dog..
