Did you know that the Ovolo hotel at the Finger Wharf in Woolloomooloo is dog-friendly? Dogs of all sizes are welcome to stay! I love how the hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot on the harbour, but many of the rooms have beautiful city views. Click on my guide in the comments to find out more.

I loved our visit to Great Keppel Island off central Queensland coast - it's so dog-friendly! Even better, you can now hire a boat from GKI Boat Hire without a license, with dogs also allowed on board! (Link with more details in 1st comment)

Checking out the newest dog-friendly walk in Sydney! The 6km long GreenWay snakes from the Bay Run to the Cooks River, mainly off street along a dedicated shared path, including some cool boardwalk sections. As there’s no steps, we took Schnitzel’s stroller - he can’t walk such long distances these days. He loves poking his head out and looking at everything around him!

✨ Special night out with Schnitzel at Mov’in Bed!

Opening tonight for the summer, this luxury outdoor cinema at Barangaroo (complete with beds on the sand!) is dog-friendly 🐶🎞️❤️

Make a booking for the My Dog and Me Bed Class, with dogs provided with their own comfy beds and a bowl. The use of noise-cancelling headphones also means that no one will notice a stray bark.

We brought along a long lasting treat for Schnitzel (he was very tempted by our gelato and popcorn), plus a blanket for him - it gets chilly by the water. Beforehand, we also stopped by nearby Hickson Park for a toilet stop.

I finally properly explored Ballarat last week while visiting Melbourne. The highlight of the day was the gorgeous walk around Lake Wendouree, including the nearby Ballarat Botanical Gardens. I also stopped by the dog-friendly Pipers by the Lake (there’s dog treats at the kiosk), ate lunch at Lydiard General (don’t forget to use their hashtag ) and enjoyed a beer in the lane way at Hop Temple. Have you ever wished you could take a cruise on Sydney Harbour with your pup? Now you can, thanks to Sea Sydney Harbour!

On regular Sunday evenings over the summer they’re offering Dogs on Deck Harbour Cruises, a one hour cruise departing from the Man O’War Steps next to the Opera House.

It’s a relaxing short cruise in their catamaran under the harbour bridge, with yummy grazing platters for the humans (plus the option to BYO) and plenty of treats for well-behaved dogs.

Numbers are limited to just 20 humans and 8 dogs, with only small to medium dogs up to 25kg permitted, due to the small vessel.
