Can we start policing use of the phrase "we are currently experiencing longer than normal wait times" or equivalent while waiting in a phone queue.

I swear it's included by default at every call centre and has therefore lost all meaning so they should just stop bothering to say it.

Is your dog heaps itchy all of the time?

Scratching and chewing itself to bits even?

You're pretty sure it isn't fleas and you've probably tried all of the shampoos I guess? Even the one the vet suggested and the one the groomer suggested and the one your mate suggested. There was that one thing that vet gave that one time that helped but then it stopped working and you didn't get a chance to go back? Or something. Someone said antihistamines once but you googled it and got confused or maybe you tried it and it sort of worked. That injection that one time was really good maybe now that you think about it?

Anyway. Is the dog itchy? Let's get them comfortable and keep it that way.

Christmas Period Availability – 24th, 25th & 26th December 🎄

Over the Christmas period, I will be available for urgent, non-life-threatening veterinary visits on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day.

This service is intended for situations that can’t comfortably wait until regular clinics reopen, but do not require full emergency hospital care. As always, visits are unhurried, focused, and aimed at keeping pets comfortable and families supported during what can be a stressful time of year.

In addition, for anyone who is worried their pet may have a life-threatening emergency but is unable to drive, I will be offering a home-based triage and transfer service. This includes assessment in your home and, if needed, safe transfer to SASH Adelaide or your nearest or preferred operating emergency centre.

If you’re unsure whether your situation is appropriate, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Note that wait times will vary based on call volume.

A warning for RIGHT NOW. It is absolutely scorching outside and the animals in your care need you to look after them in this weather.

Make sure that your pets have:
--> access to PLENTY of fresh clean water
--> easy access to EFFECTIVE shelter from the heat

Even with access to shade, senior pets may be overcome by the heat and become unable to move out of the sun on their own - check on them frequently.

And please, DO NOT WALK YOUR PETS IN THIS HEAT. It is too hot for any animal to be in the sun today.
