Hey, I’m Shanae 👋🏼

I’m a dog and animal lover, an NDIS support worker, and someone who’s happiest out in nature with a pack of pups by my side.

I’ve worked alongside assistance dogs, fostered greyhounds, and raised three of my own so I know firsthand how much dogs thrive when they’re not just walked, but truly engaged. I’ve seen the difference that proper exercise, mental stimulation, and the freedom to explore can make in a dog’s life and behaviour.

That’s why I started Hiking Hounds. It’s more than just a walk around the block, it’s an adventure! Whether we’re splashing in creeks, wandering forest trails, or practicing good leash manners, I design every hike to be fun, safe, and enriching.
I find it incredibly rewarding to help dogs build confidence, stay active, and enjoy the simple joys of being out in nature 😄🌿🌱
