Hello all my wonderful clients and followers, you may have noticed that l havent posted any petsitting updates for a long time. Unfortunately due to increasing back issues l had to cut right back on my bookings last year. Sadly as there has been no improvement l have had to make the very hard decision to close my business. This was my absolute dream job, one l wished I'd started much earlier, ive loved every minute of it but I'm struggling now.
I want to say a huge thankyou to all my clients who trusted me to care for their Adorable Creatures, it's truly been a privilege. I have been blessed to have such lovely clients, some were already friends but you all have become friends to me. Your precious pets are etched on my heart, l will miss them and have hundreds of photos to remember them always.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

Please be aware that we only have 1 intake worker to answer the crisis intake phone that works Monday to Thursday from 9am to 3:45pm and after that its 1 volunteer that does afterhours.

If you are successful in getting through, we only have a small team of volunteer caseworkers/students to take the cases after intake, for quality of service and care sometimes we just reach capacity, and we can't keep taking on clients.

We currently have 317 active clients, not including our outreach pet food clients, pop up vet clinic and community partners. We are not government funded, we rely on public donations and generous business support and the blood, sweat and tears of our most generous volunteers.

So please be kind and patience, we know this is a highly stressful time and we do our best to help as many people with pets as we can, we just cannot keep up with demand and it breaks our hearts.

Our services are essential and play a vital role in human health systems, and Domestic Violence and homeless services by addressing the interconnected needs of people and their pets.

Dear Safe Pets Safe Families ❤️ my name is Smithy. I am a 4 year old terrier x corgi mix, and I'm a very good boy! I'm a rescue dog. My owner is a 76 year old lady who loves me and spoils me. Unfortunately my owner is in hospital and I am left alone.

Thank you for taking care of me, there's biscuits, treats, and a new lead here for you take. I am so grateful to have a home to go to, and I promise I'm a good boy.

This was a note left from a 76 year old lady when we collected her dog.

What would you do if you had no family or friends or the financial means for boarding.

Did you know we bring an average of 20 pets per month into care.

No foster carer needed for this one!

We need support in other areas.!

We are so busy with daily ops attending to crises that we don't have time to stop and share all our good work. We are looking for volunteers who have experience in social media marketing and can help us reach our goals.

We are also in desperate need of volunteer caseworkers to help with managing cases. Would suit someone who is semi retired or retired.
