Summer is definitely here! Keeping your furry friends cool and safe is key to a happy, healthy season.
• Provide plenty of fresh water
• Walk your dog during cooler times of day; early mornings or evenings. Avoid midday sun.
• Set up shady spots for lounging outside or bring playtime indoors when it’s too hot
• Keep your pup on leash at the lake/beach, and obey park rules
• Never leave pets in parked cars—even for a few minutes, it can get dangerously hot.
• Call Comfy Creatures for a drop-in visit if you'll be gone all day 😊

- Watch for toxic plants! Avoid common flowers such as lilies, daffodils, and tulips
- Ensure your pets are protected against fleas and ticks. These pests become more prevalent in Spring
- Avoid standing water, which can contain harmful bacteria.
- Be cautious when using fertilizers and pesticides in your garden; keep pets away from treated areas.
- Avoid chemically treated lawns during your walks

Winter walks can be magical, but they also require extra care for dogs. To keep your pet's paws safe and comfy after those snowy adventures:

🐾 Wipe paws with a damp cloth to remove ice melt and salt
🐾 Use pet-safe paw balm to soothe and protect paw pads
🐾 Check for any cracks or irritation regularly
🐾 Trim the fur between toes to prevent ice buildup

The chilly season is upon us, but that doesn't mean the fun has to stop! Some of our favorite Winter Activities to keep our canine friends entertained and fit during the frosty months:

❄️ **Winter Walk Adventures**: Bundle up and take a scenic walk in your local park. Protect your pup's paws with salve or booties, and wipe paws before coming inside in the event of contact with ice melt chemicals

⛄ **Snow Play**: Let your dog enjoy the snow! Building a snowman or some snow ball fetch can be the perfect way to mix playtime with exercise.

🏠 **Indoor Fetch**: For those extremely cold days, a game of fetch in the living room is a safe and fun way to expend energy.

📦 **Puzzle Toys**: Keep their minds sharp with interactive puzzle toys that hide treats inside.

👃 **Scent Games**: Hide their favorite treats around the house and let them "forage", an instinctual and fun activity for them
