Did you know that each year, 3.2 million cats enter animal shelters each year? That's a whole lot of cats!

Did you know that the easiest way to prevent more cats from entering the shelter system is by spaying or neutering your cat? It's true!

Thanks to a generous donation from our good friends @resqcats, Santa Barbara Humane is offering free spay and neuter surgeries for cats at our Santa Maria campus this April 4-7 and 11-14.

All visits to Santa Barbara Humane, including those for the free spay and neuter surgeries, are by appointment only. You can schedule your appointment at sbhumane.org/clinic or by calling (805) 964-4777 x 205.

Sweet Pea is a seven-year-old Domestic Shorthair and Snowball is a ten-year-old Siamese mix. These lovely girls are both shy, but oh-so-sweet. Sweet Pea and Snowball have a very special connection, so they will need to go to a home together.

Wally may be 60% ears, but he is 100% adorable!

Wally is a seven-month-old Chihuahua mix with a lot of love to give. He is a little shy when you first meet him, but give Wally time and he will show you just how sweet he can be. Kyle is a ten-month-old Pit Bull who came to us with some awful lacerations on his head, but this happy boy won't let an injury keep him down! Kyle is healing nicely and should be good as new soon. He is a very happy and easy-going boy who loves playing with toys.
