Remember to exercise early/late in the day, have plenty of free choice fresh water, keep them indoors, do not leave them alone in your vehicle as the temperatures inside skyrocket making it dangerous for people and pets (cracking a window is not a solution), and remember if it’s too hot for you to walk barefoot, it’s too hot for your pet’s feet too!! If you are concerned for your pet overheating some emergency pet cooling stations have been set up in the area. Please see your local listings for help!

If your pet shows any signs of anxiety- panting,drooling,hiding,pacing,decreased appetite, excessive grooming or yawning, or inappropriate potty habits with the onset of fireworks you may wish to reach out to your veterinarian for help prior to the Fourth of July to make it a better day for your dog or cat.
Dre would also like to remind folks that keeping the microchip information up to date and current tags is important too in case your pet gets out that way it’s easier for them to make their way back to you if they do get out!
