Taking care of business during the dog days of summer! 54 dogs and cats sterilized today. Super grateful for our volunteers and help today from Rick and Mariana from Casa Sheila. Cortez Rescue & Outreach made it possible for dogs and cats to catch a ride in the vanimal from Campamento and Santiago!

You know what time it is? It’s time for some new to you books, puzzles and DVD’s. Did you know that by donating your books and buying books and puzzles you have helped SNAP sterilize 60 animls this year.

The bookstore will be open this Friday, July 4th from 9 am to 11 am. As long as the weather allows we will be open on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of this month.

The bookstore is located inside Highway Store Unit #31.

Not sure where that is? Take the Hwy out of town towards San Bartolo go past the Repsol, you’ll see El Arco on the left and then turn right by our sign. Go past Baja Welding and enter the storage units.

We are truly going to miss the Lazy Daze Beach Bar. Lazy Daze has supported SNAP and our local vet get the equipment he needed by doing fundraisers. Come out one last time and join us in saying farewell to our beloved hang out.

Directions:
Fly past Repsol, spot El Arco, whip a right at our sign, wave to Baja Welding—and boom, you’re there. Unit #31.

Cuida a tu peludito en el calor: 4 tips ensenciales.

1. 💧 Ofrece agua limpia y fresca todo el día.
Cámbiala varias veces, colócala en la sombra y si hace mucho calor, agrégale cubitos de hielo 🧊.

2. 🚫 Evita la actividad física en las horas de mayor calor.
No salgas a pasear entre las 11:00 a.m. y las 5:00 p.m.; sus patitas 🐾 se pueden quemar y el calor les afecta más que a nosotros.

3. 🌳 Proporciónale sombra, ventilación y formas de enfriarse.
Asegúrate de que tenga un lugar fresco donde descansar. Puedes mojarle ligeramente las patitas, pancita u orejas con un paño húmedo 🐶 o colocar un ventilador cerca.

4. 🚗❌ Nunca lo dejes dentro del auto.
Aunque esté a la sombra y sean solo “unos minutos”, el interior del coche puede alcanzar temperaturas mortales ⚠️.

🆘 Si notas signos como jadeo excesivo, desmayo, vómito o debilidad, acude de inmediato al veterinario.
Podría tratarse de un golpe de calor, y necesita atención urgente.

In 2025 SNAP Los Barriles has through our amazing vet provide 600 sterilizations through appointments at the clinic in Buenas Aires and at community clinics like this in Las Tinas.
